Despite a few short 'cat-free' stints, I have mostly shared my life with cats. I have yet to meet a cat that I don't like! There is no such a thing as a bad cat, just guardians who are not able -or willing- to understand their cat. I see them as the animal-equivalent of Nikita. A stunning work of art. Perfect killing machines encased in a gorgeous form. When I look at domestics, I see their ancestor, the "raw cat". They are perfect miniatures of great beasts - like a big cat bonsai. Being a cat guardian has taught me patience, discipline and self-control. Interacting with shelter cats has been a great exercise in humility and self-awareness. Rather than collecting objects, I collect moments. I collect the essence of a pet's personality or that special animal-human bond that we all cherish.

Born on October 1st 2007 in Stuttgart, Germany. A firecracker from the start. Learned her name in 5 days, at 9 weeks of age. Pickiest eater in the nation. Very strong willed. Incredibly intelligent. Can win a staring contest like it's a gun fight at the O.K. Corral.

Born sometime in early 2009 in Sanford, North Carolina. Not the smartest cookie in the jar. Distinguished food critic; can detect chicken (cooked or raw) at any given distance, through any given obstacle. Very affectionate. Unrelenting drooler. Believes to be on the edge of starvation at any given moment.
